      David O'Connor gives a broad view of the history and discoveries, of a so important place as ancient Abydos and the cult of Osiris, in ancient Egypt. Many revealing insights and possible interpretations about the discoveries. Beautiful drawings and maps everywhere. The book does not go into all the details but gives a realy informative oversight of the place and its long history.
